Hairstyles Pack

Various hair options for your VRChat otter! YAY!

These were designed to work well with the otter model created by Shade the Bat, but might work with other models as well. They have not been tested with other models, but you're more than welcome to try and/or modify them to fit other models.

Hairstyle Features

• At least 1 blendshape for some level of customization

• Under or around 2k poly each

• Dynamic Bones ready (not all HairStyles will use Dynamic Bones)

Some Hairstyles will be released for free, but the majority will cost a small amount. This is to help support me and allow me to continue creating.

What's Included?

• The Unity Package

• The FBX file

• A flat PNG texture

• A layered PSD for retexturing

• A Krita file with alpha masks for really easy retexturing (really, use Krita!)

Installation is pretty easy!

1. Import everything as you normally would for uploading an avatar

2. Import the Hairstyle Unity package

3. Drag the Prefab into the Hierarchy and unpack it

4. Drag Hair_Root Bones onto the Head bone of your Avatar in the Hierarchy

5. Drag Hairstyle <name> onto the Avatar prefab in the Hierarchy

6. Upload!

Important Notes:

Hairstyles package requires Poiyomi by default but does not include it. You can download Poiyomi for free from the official GitHub.

Please import the Hairstyles after everything else;

VRC SDK > Dynamic Bones (if required) > Poiyomi > Avatar of choice > Hairstyle

This package is Dynamic Bones ready but legally can not include it. You can purchase Dynamic Bones from the Unity asset store. If you are not using Dynamic Bones please remove the Dynamic Bone components located in Hair_Root Bones and Hair of the Hairstyle's armature.

Terms of Service

By purchasing/downloading these hairstyles you agree to the following:

You can:

• Modify or alter the Hairstyles mesh and textures

• Publicly release textures you have made for free

• Use the files in games other than VRChat, as long as it does not freely distribute the files

You cannot:

• Share the paid versions of Hairstyles with anyone who has not already purchased them through Gumroad (share the free versions as much as you'd like!)

• Modify or alter the Hairstyle mesh or textures in a way which is intended to be hateful or harmful

• Resell or claim any part of these files as your own
